1. What is the Purpose of Team Ronnie?

To find compassionate, caring, qualified Individuals to work with Ronnie.

2. Is team Ronnie an Agency?

No, we are not an agency. We are the parents of a medically frail child.

3. What experience is required to become an Aide?

No medical experience is required.

4. How old do you have to be in order to be eligible for the Aide Position?

You must be 18 years of age or older.

5. Who is responsible for hiring me as an Aide?

The child’s parent(s) or Designated Representative are responsible for hiring the Aide.

6. What steps would an Aide have to take once hired?

You would be instructed on the simple and straightforward process of signing up with the agency that the child is associated with.

7. How much is the pay for an Aide?

It is a competitive salary and will be discussed during the interview process.

8. What is the “on-the-job training” like for an Aide?

Aides are trained by other, more experienced Aides. The training is an individualized process. Some of the skills you will be trained to do may include: bed bath, suctioning, diapering, administration of feeds through a g-tube, administration of oxygen, vital signs check, assessment skills, and documentation. Each candidate will feel confident and competent once their training is complete.

9. What are the hours and days required for an Aide to work?

The hours are very flexible. The availability of days and hours would be discussed at the time of hire, and a schedule would be formulated together. There are no minimum hours required. During the school week, the hours would be from 2:30 pm- 8:00 pm. Weekend hours generally run anywhere from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. ( shared between staff members).

10. Who is most appropriate for the Aide position?

Anyone who is willing to learn, who is caring and compassionate, and who enjoys working with kids.

11. What are some of the other job opportunities that are available working in Home Care?

In addition to Aide positions, there may be an opportunity for an RN or LPN to work overnights in the home full-time, part-time, or per diem. RNs or LPNs can accompany Ronnie to school if needed.
